MARK SMITH / PVT A sudden fire gutted much of a Bruce Street home Tuesday evening. Neither of the two occupants "knew exactly what happened," said Fire Chief Scott Lewis. Two cars next to the home were also destroyed, and another sustained some radiant heat damage as firefighters tried to avoid discharging ammunition. One occupant suffered burns but refused medical treatment. An Elko BLM fire truck in the area stopped by to lend a hand. |
