Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of July 12 -- July 16:

Menu -- soup and salad bar, 2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday -- chili-cheese baked potato, buttered corn, applesauce;

Tuesday -- chicken Caesar salad, garlic bread, steamed broccoli, vanilla pudding;

Wednesday -- shepherd's pie, green beans, peach crisp;

Thursday -- barbecued chicken, tater tots, Normandy mixed veggies, yellow cake;

Friday -- vegetarian lasagna, Sicilian veggies, brownies.

Activities

Monday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.; blood-pressure checks, 10 a.m.; hair cuts, 9-11 a.m.;

Tuesday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; craft class, 12:30 p.m.; bridge class, 1 p.m.; Shadow Mountain Players, 7 p.m.;

Wednesday -- cloggers, 9 a.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.; Walmart shopping, 9:30 a.m.; Humana, 10 a.m.; legal aid, 9 a.m., (call to verify);

Thursday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.;

Friday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m., poker, 12:30 p.m.; bridge, 1 p.m.; beading hearts, 12:30 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of July 12 -- July 16:

Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served from 4-5:30 p.m.

Monday -- red beans and rice, beets in orange sauce, layered salad, 100 percent whole wheat bread, apple butter, fruit cocktail;

Tuesday -- hot turkey sandwich, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, cake, peach cup;

Wednesday -- Roma burger, romaine lettuce, ketchup, fat-free mayonnaise, corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, apricot cup;

Thursday -- Diabetic-friendly menu: Thai chicken stir-fry with peanut sauce, zucchini, salad bar, winter squash soup, bread pudding;

Friday -- fish, potato wedges, mixed veggies, dinner rolls, tapioca pudding.
