Jeffrey 'Hardway' Tooley

Jeffrey "Hardway" Tooley, 47, met the sunset of his life Dec. 12, 2008, in Oklahoma.

His sunrise was Dec. 26, 1961, and he was a resident of Pahrump for 16 years.

He was a truck driver and a member of Gents Motorcycle Club.

"Jeff, you always had the kindest heart and were a friend to everyone and you were there for those you loved -- through thick and thin.

"You loved riding and working on your Harley, going to the lake and the dunes and you loved your family and friends more than anything.

"You were an amazing father; taking care of three kids so selflessly, teaching us that hard work and perseverance will take you far in life.

"We will take you with us forever. We love you, Dad."

Jeff is survived by his children Richard (Heidi) Horibe and Amber Horibe of Pahrump and Tim Horibe of Marrietta, Calif.; mother Linda McCormack of Oklahoma; brother Scott Tooley of Georgia; sister Roxanne Watson of Oklahoma; uncle George and aunt Angie Falkenstine of California and grandchild Kayne Horibe.

He was preceded in death by son Bryan McKeever and sister Michelle Tooley.

A celebration of life is currently in the planning stages. Call 775-764-0484 for more information.

"I sought peace;

The road gave me solace.

I sought strength;

The riding fortified me.

I sought a home;

The Brotherhood and friends welcomed me.

I sought freedom, so the Lord sent for me.

Rest in peace, Brother."
